A sealing system, not just a single ring.

Sealing and contamination control

Rod and piston seals work alongside wipers and static seals. The combination addresses internal bypass, external leakage and dirt entering at the rod.

Support under load

Guide rings separate moving metal surfaces and accommodate transverse loads. Back-up rings support seals against extrusion into clearance gaps.

Profiles for their working position

Rod seals, piston seals and wipers have different lip and contact geometries. Similar outside dimensions do not make these profiles interchangeable.

Material selection matters

Material family	Engineering characteristics
PU / polyurethane	Wear and abrasion resistance for dynamic sealing profiles.
PTFE compounds	Low-friction sliding characteristics; fillers influence wear and load behaviour.
NBR / nitrile rubber	Commonly used for O-rings and elastomer sealing elements with mineral-oil-based fluids.
